line   ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Champions Afterschool Program is a non-profit program that is volunteer run, community based and committed to the academic, athletic, and quality of life of students.

We recognize the growing need in the Antelope Valley of unsupervised students between the hours of 2pm and 6pm. Since 2004, the Champions After School Program in Lancaster, California has built a learning environment that addresses community needs while building student skills through one-on-one and smallbn group after school tutoring.

Our learning model includes: hands-on explorations in life skills, homework/mentor investment time, computer skills and physical education activities. The program focuses on skill development – particularly in the areas of writing and math, and links closely to school activities and learning standards.  The program is funded by grants, individuals and community businesses and is offered free to the student.
